This side-event to the UN High Level Political Forum, organised by the Culture 2030 Goal Campaign, looks at how local experiences in integrating culture into SDG implementation efforts has brought dividends, and the lessons that can provide globally.

It builds on the Campaign report last year on the place of culture in voluntary local reviews, which found much cause for hope, but at the same time plenty of room for improvement. It was, nonetheless, clear that local governments tend to be more aware of the difference that culture can make, and readier to draw on this.

The session will include a presentation of last year’s report, examples shared by practitioners around the world, and discussion of the lessons that can be drawn from these.

It will take place on 7 July, from 11:30-13:00 UTC (see what time this is for you), in virtual format. You can register to attend here.
