As a global organisation IFLA works to bridge language differences across the library community. The texts of many IFLA documents have been translated into IFLA’s official languages and beyond for ease of reference and accessibility.

To enhance the multilingual character of IFLA, we welcome translations of IFLA publications into one of the seven official IFLA languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Russian, Spanish) or any other language that might serve our users.

IFLA also welcomes the use of its materials in reprints, quotations, or reproductions in books or journals, with due attribution.

If your institution or organisation wishes to translate or reproduce an IFLA publication, please complete the Request for Permissions form.
